Slow sewing+sustainability principles
Slow sewing and reflective making are what we believe in. Our patterns are created for longevity, and we encourage all makers to re-use and re-cycle materials where and when they can to keep them in use for as long as possible.
We align our beliefs to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12 ensuring responsible consumption and production, making certain we design for longevity, reduce waste, adopt, and implement best sustainable practices where doable. This means that we do not mass print our sewing patterns, instead employing a print-on-demand ethos.
Our garment toiles and samples in our studio are made using predominantly pre-loved and dead-stock fabrics, and consideration is given to minimal waste in all aspects of our work.
