Sewing Instruction Booklet
- The Sewing Instruction booklet is available with each pattern set and is the same for all sizes. These can be printed on A4 paper (black and white or colour printing) or viewed digitally from your computer or device while you are sewing. The images in the Sewing Instruction book are photographed step-by-step, with succinctly written instructions for you to follow.
- Each Sewing Instruction booklet features information on the style, including notions, tips, pattern hacks and alterations, and a suggested plan for laying out your patterns onto fabric. While fabrics come in an assortment of widths (selvedge to selvedge), two standard widths have been included for most pattern styles: 110-120cm and 140-150cm.
- If you use remnants or up-cycling fabrics, you may find the pattern placement is different from what is suggested. We get excited when our sewists re-use and up-cycle, so please share your makes!
- Before cutting your fabric or sewing, make yourself familiar with all the pattern pieces for the style and the steps in the sewing instructions. This will make it much easier to follow by reading through these and looking over the pattern first.
- Alternatively, if you are a confident sewer, you might find it interesting to follow instinct and create your own sewing process!
